Project wheelbarrow: Part Four

Alright! It is starting to shape up!
After the nifty mud guard I thought it was time to mount the barrow pan.

In the past it had some disfigurement and cracking of the metal in the pan mounting areas(see Project Wheelbarrow number one). I thought some heavy reinforcement was in order.

So I found some great stainless-steel large flat washers..........but freekin bummer! there was only two. So with some chrome bits left over from the mud guard I went to work making two rear reinforcement dingles. I used the two round washers in the front because they were less intrusive, more stealth-y and flowed better in the graphics area. They all are totally functional and look great....check it out!

I thought to myself that bad-boy is never going to bend or crack in those area's ever again,........ and cracked a obnipitant grin. Then I thought I herd the cat Mister purr (see "Happiness in Slavery" July 9th post)......but he wasn't around, it was me.

Here it is but wait.............I forgot the black.

With a smile, some paint dity and fractulation.......

There we have it!
The evil black flower circle really sets it off, but there is more to be done........

I thought which one, of the three thousand-seven hundred-and-forty six ideas I should try now!

Ok,..........back to Home Depot......

I walked in, found what I needed, and proceeded to dink around with wide eyes wallowing in my own drool and trying to control my left big tow for a couple hours gandering at all the shiny things.

The cool thing was it only cost me 3 dollars.

It was a whack-dady rockin rubber mat..... that I instantly started to spindle and trim to the size of the barrow the moment I got home.

It fits rather nicely, looks great and will protect Heidis Bad-boy Barrow for a few haulin-years.

but were not done yet!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stay tuned for Project Wheelbarrow: Part Five

  2. Um...Ty? ...this is usually the time a friend says, "You need a hobby." But in this particular instance, I believe your former life as an autobody chopster and hopeless case repairs-person has taken over your brain. I admit, that without motorcycles and painting, I have become completely insane, and that's why I know...you're heading down the dirt road of whacky-dome.

Nice wheeled burro. Um...probably the only one with a race fender, full bodywork and $300 paintjob...but it's great. Does the engine sit inside or does it go below?

When do you start work with motorized vehicles with sharp pointy slicey things on them?

But anyway, I like the black flower and the fender. You are a work of art.

  3. Kaze This is somewhat your fault. Ever since you told me of the old Honda CB you had to fix for me, my mind has been racing with restoration issues. (does my blog reflect this?) I do miss my old job. Bummer your brother gave(sniffel)it away. This week is the week I was going to pick it up.

Anyway.......I am looking for a bike to restow this winter. And I am looking for a old CB 750. There is a good one out there for me somewhere. I found a real basket case on the side of a barn last week,(I havent told Heidi bout it)But I knocked on the door and asked the old dude if he wanted to sell it. And he wanted 500 for it(((way to much for this piece of shit)))I was planning to offer 100 but his attitude bugged me and the bike needed everything so I walked without another thought, other than I know I will be willing to spend a thousand on a good one to restow when I get my credit card paid off.

A motorised wheelbarrow!!! Now that is an Idea!!Good to see you back.

(((Avi, mention away, and Thanks for the nice comments))).
